Pastor 'Myke' Main
Welcome Pastor Michael 'Myke' Main and his wife, Jan.
Pastor 'Myke' was born September 16 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. In 1974 he married Jan (Bathke) Main, now a retired elementary education teacher. They have four children and 10 grandchildren.
Pastor Myke earned a B. S. from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh in 1974 and his Masters of Divinity from Luther Theological Seminary St. Paul, MN in 1978. Since then, he has faithfully served congregations in Montana, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Arizona.
His experiences include being Maumee Valley Conference President 1983-1984 (ALC); DSMA rep. 1982-1984 (ALC); NW Synod of WI Youth Board (ELCA) 1992-1998; AALC Foundation 2004-2007; Regional Pastor North Star Region (AALC) 2001-2007; Regional Pastor North Plains Region 2007-2009 (AALC); ). Regional Pastor Western Great Lakes Region (2011-Present), Clergy Rep. on Association Council for North Star Region and North Plains Region 2001-2009, Clergy Rep. on Association Council for Western Great Lakes Region (2011-2017), AALC Clergy Commission (2011-2018).
We rejoice that God continues to raise up preachers to faithfully proclaim his two words to us - Law and Gospel, the law to show us our need for a savior, and the gospel which declares us righteous before God on account of the finished work of Jesus. Thus, we glorify the name of Jesus 'God is our salvation' the name above all names, as he continues to build his church, adding to the number those who are saved.
